Meet Sarah Kasaby, a dedicated advocate and community leader originally from Egypt, now serving as Vice Chair of African Immigrant Family Services (AIFS). Since she arrived in the US in 2010, Sarah has immersed herself in various non-profit endeavors, leveraging her diverse experiences to uplift marginalized communities.
Sarah’s commitment to service is evident through her extensive involvement in organizations such as the Nebraska Association for Translators and Interpreters (NATI), where she served on the board for two years. Breaking barriers at the Islamic Center of Omaha (ICO), Sarah made history as the first elected woman on the board and spearheaded Women’s Affairs initiatives.
Transitioning to the American Muslim Institute (AMI), Sarah held the role of Executive Administrator from 2017 to 2019, contributing to the Tri-Faith Initiative as a valued partner. Her passion for advocacy led her to volunteer with the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association | USA (PWSA | USA), where she currently serves as an Information and Referral Specialist, bridging gaps in support for families affected by rare genetic conditions.
