Programs for every age and interest
Ages 3–18, with programs taught by AIFS staff, instructors and partners.
Mentorship program
Youth are paired with caring mentors who guide their academic, social and personal growth and help build leadership and life skills.
Tutoring and academic support
Personalized support in reading, writing and math. Small-group sessions close learning gaps, build confidence and help students succeed in school.
Communication and digital media
Video production, photography, graphic design and media literacy help youth share their voices and explore creative careers.
Early childhood development
A nurturing, culturally responsive space for children ages 3–5 to explore early learning, social-emotional growth and cultural identity.
French and Spanish language education
Students ages 6–18 build strong language skills, confidence and intercultural understanding.
Youth African drumming
Youth learn the art of African drumming, building creativity and teamwork and performing at community events.
Hair braiding
Traditional braiding techniques that honor African heritage while exploring creativity, entrepreneurship and cultural pride.
Youth African culinary program
Hands-on culinary training in cooking, nutrition and entrepreneurship through African cuisine, in partnership with the House of Bah Foundation.
Sports: karate, basketball and soccer
Athletics that build teamwork, discipline, resilience and healthy living.
AIFS Cyber Police Academy
A digital safety program where youth learn to prevent cyberbullying, recognize scams, protect their digital identities and help their families stay safe online.
AIFS Little Scholars
A culturally responsive early-learning environment for preschoolers and kindergartners, building language, creativity and social-emotional skills for school success.
